The 32-year-old was recognised with the Club’s Best Team Man award after another consistent season in 2011. He played 19 games and was ultra-reliable, averaging 18 disposals and providing valuable leadership to a defence depleted by injuries and retirement. His revered work-rate and hardness were typified in his performance against West Coast in round 12, where he laid a career-high nine tackles.
