The gifted forward overcame numerous setbacks to finish the season as Adelaide’s leading goalkicker, kicking 32 goals from only 13 games to rank sixth in the AFL for goals per game (averaging 2.5). An undeniable talent, Walker is continuing to work on his consistency and is developing as a leader within the Crows forward line.

David Noble: “Like 'Tippo', Tex is a bit reliant on our ball movement further up the ground. I believe he's making some ground on winning more of his own ball. He works really hard on his contested marking and winning the ground ball over the summer. He's becoming a more mature player in his defence and when Kurt was out through injury, he actually took responsibility for the forward line. He's a classy act. At one stage, I looked at the goals he'd kicked in a 4-5 week period and he was ranked fifth in the competition at that period of time. He's got some real offensive weapons and hopefully we can take more advantage of them next year.”
