Adelaide draftee Patrick Dangerfield has confirmed he will play for Geelong Falcons in the Victorian TAC Cup under-18 competition this season while finishing school.
Crows football operations general manager John Reid said: “Patrick has looked at all the options available for him to play football in 2008 and decided to play with the Geelong Falcons.
“He will also travel to Adelaide on four or five occasions to play with West Adelaide in the first few months of the season but as of June 30 he will stay with the Geelong Falcons for the remainder of the season.
“Patrick has taken this decision having regard for his Year 12 studies and to spend some time with his under-18 club and in the SANFL with West Adelaide.”
Dangerfield, 17, trained with Adelaide through the pre-season but returned home (and to school) after the club’s trip to Dubai.
