The ultimate strength and future of the Adelaide Football Club lies firmly in the hands of its supporters. Whilst competition is fierce on the field, it is equally as fierce behind the scenes with every opportunity being sourced to stay one step ahead of our opposition.

A sound financial future is the key to our success and the Adelaide Football Club invites you to consider leaving a bequest to the Club in your Will to help us secure that success for future generations to come.

What is a Bequest?

A bequest is an act of giving or leaving personal assets to beneficiaries through the provision of a Will.

Making a bequest to the Club is a unique way of supporting the Crows football family, without impacting on your present income. Bequests will help secure the future of the Club.

When you are planning your estate, you want to provide for the people and causes closest and dearest to you. Once you have provided for your loved ones, please consider making a gift to the Adelaide Football Club.

Why the Adelaide Crows?

A bequest is the opportunity to make a tangible and lasting contribution towards the ongoing strength and future of the Adelaide Football Club. Your generosity will secure the club’s financial future enabling it to continue its proud tradition of success for generations to come.

Your bequest will be securely invested and only the earnings will be used to support the club’s growth, which means your generosity will benefit the club forever.

Who can contribute?

Anyone with a passion for the Adelaide Football Club, member or non-member, can leave a bequest to the Club in their Will.

If you already have a Will in place you can complete a codicil (under the advice of your solicitor) to make an amendment to your current arrangements.

We recommend that you consult your legal advisor and discuss these important decisions and any changes with your family.

Types of Bequests

  • A specified amount of money
  • A percentage of your Estate
  • Property / assets
  • Residual of your Estate after all other beneficiaries have been taken care of

Featured bequester:

Di Pratt has been a Crows Forever Bequest member for years. The proof is in the photo of her with a very young pair of Crows who have both since played 200 games for the Club.

Mrs Pratt grew up near Unley Oval and her dad was a Sturt selector for years. She knew if the Blues were going well because the carparking would reach her suburban home in Fullarton. Once the Adelaide Crows joined the AFL, it was common sense for Di and her husband Ken to follow them as they forged their way in the AFL as the first SA team. They have given her so much joy over the last 27 years that becoming a Bequester was a must. And her dear dad would approve her financial commitment to footy in SA. Now based in Victor Harbor Di is a very active member of the Crows family and helps to look after the Crows Fleurieu Peninsula supporters group. Her favourite footballer is Richard Douglas. Not just for his on-field courage and skill but also his commitment as a Melbourne lad to stay in SA and see out his entire AFL career with the Adelaide Crows. We think Di is pretty committed too.
