The Adelaide Football Club and City of West Torrens have formed a Master Plan Advisory Group to engage with the local community on the Thebarton Oval redevelopment.

The 13-person group includes four members of the West Torrens community, Elected Members of Council, Adelaide Football Club representatives and a Kaurna First Nations representative.

It follows the Crows and City of West Torrens in November agreeing to enter a Memorandum of Agreement to progress to a masterplan for the redevelopment of the precinct to establish a new world-class headquarters for the Club.

The Club is committed to working with council, key stakeholders and the community to achieve a win-win outcome for all parties and the Master Plan Advisory Group forms part of a detailed Community Engagement Plan for the redevelopment.

Among other things, the Master Plan Advisory Group will consider the location and use of new and existing facilities, preservation of heritage and significant items, landscaping, traffic management and the public use, enjoyment and access to open space and facilities.
