Adelaide has rounded out the 2016 AFL National Draft by selecting clever forward Ben Davis.

Davis was snapped up with the Club's last 'live' pick at No.75. The Crows passed on their final available selection.

Position: Medium forward
Club: UNSW
Height: 186cm
Weight: 80kg
DOB: 19/5/97

After not nominating for the 2015 drafts on the back of an injury-hit year, Davis responded this season to force his way into selection for the All Stars Under 18 game on AFL Grand Final Day.

The younger brother of former Swan Abe Davis, Ben started the 2016 season playing for the Swans Academy as an overager in the Academy series and was then selected to represent the NSW-ACT division two side in the National Under 18s Championships and the TAC Cup.

The clever medium forward kicked ten goals and averaged 16 possessions in three Division Two outings to earn a spot in the combined Allies team to play in Division One. At the higher level he also played some football in defence, where his disposal efficiency was on show.

Later in the season he played four NEAFL games for the Sydney Swans Reserves (alongside his brother) despite not being eligible for Academy selection. He is a strong mark for his size and has a reliable set shot routine.

Darren Denneman, AFL NSW says:

“He's a versatile type, maybe more so than people give him credit for. He did well in our early academy stuff as a forward so we ended up leaving him there, but he could play as a half-back as well. He has good hands and I think he has genuine pace when he goes, he just needs to use it a bit more consistently than he does. He understands the game well, thinks his way through things and is quite mature in terms of where he's at in his life."
