Darcy Fogarty

Height: 192cm
Weight: 92kg
Position: Half-forward/midfielder
DOB: 5/9/99
From Glenelg/South Australia

BIO: A dynamic and competitive tall forward who can also go back or play through the midfield. Fogarty has sticky hands overhead and on the lead, and can push, bump or bulldoze past opponents to win the ball. The NAB AFL Academy graduate is a penetrating kick off either foot and uses his frame to lay bone-crunching tackles.

Fogarty made an impressive debut at senior level with SANFL club Glenelg this year, but was hampered by a knee injury during the NAB AFL U18 Championships and had season-ending surgery to repair a torn meniscus in July. The injury prevented him from testing at the AFL Draft Combine.

Fogarty was best afield in the AFL Academy Grand Final curtain-raiser last year and was a standout on the Academy's training camp in America in January. He was named the Ben Mitchell Medallist for the 2016/17 Academy intake as the player who best represented the program's values. Fogarty spent a fortnight with the Crows last December as part of the Academy program.

A boarder at Rostrevor College, Fogarty grew up in Lucindale, a small town of approximately 400 located three-and-a-half hours out of Adelaide.
