Ebony Marinoff’s 24 disposals and 11 tackles against the Western Bulldogs on Saturday night has seen the ball magnet top the opening round’s Champion Data rankings following the Crows’ one-point loss at Norwood Oval.

The 21-year-old played an influential role as she recorded 216 ranking points, 13 more than North Melbourne’s Emma King, the next highest ranked AFLW player in the round.

They were the only two AFLW players on the weekend to pass 200.

Marinoff’s leading form did not end there, she ranked second overall for handballs with 11, third for effective disposals with 10 and third for tackles with 11.

Her 14 kicks, 12 contested possessions, 10 uncontested possessions and eight intercepts also saw the local star finish in the top five of the respective categories.

RULED OUT: Rhi's season-ending injury

In the absence of rucks Rhiannon Metcalfe and Jasmyn Hewett, 183cm Jess Foley flourished with 25 hitouts.

The former basketballer was not expected to ruck prior to the Metcalfe and Hewett's injuries but she controlled the stoppages with a game-high seven hitouts to advantage.

From 44 ruck contests Foley came out with a round-high 57 per cent win efficiency.

Co-captain Erin Phillips impressed with 18 disposals however she was most dominant around stoppages, where she collected a game-high seven clearances.

Phillips ranked third overall, behind only Fremantle duo Dana Hooker and Kiara Bowers.
