Adelaide co-captain Rory Sloane says the Crows have been “training the house down” to steer their 2019 season back on track.

Speaking on Triple M’s The Rush Hour, Sloane admitted the players weren’t performing to their own high standards.

“I think from ourselves we’re disappointed,” Sloane said.

Sitting one and three doesn’t meet our expectations, we’re not good enough at the moment.

“All we can do is respond and start to build trust back with the fans.

“We’re not accepting where we are at.”

Sloane was also asked about the likelihood of Darcy Fogarty and Hugh Greenwood being called up to the AFL side.

“He (Fogarty) played a good game on the weekend down back, he plays with good intensity and aggression,” Sloane said.

“That’s what we ask for the boys who play in the SANFL.

“Hugh Greenwood was fantastic on the weekend, Bryce Gibbs went in with a great attitude.”

Eddie Betts will play his 300th game on Sunday at Adelaide Oval and Sloane said the team needed to perform for the occasion.

“I’ve got about 200 favourite Eddie Betts moments,” he said.

“My favourite is always being on Adelaide Oval when Eddie has the ball in his hands and the crowd is chanting his name."

“He’s a much loved man around the AFL."

Adelaide face Gold Coast at 4.10pm on Sunday at Adelaide Oval, with great seats still available via Ticketek.
