Milestone men Eddie Betts and Brodie Smith have topped the Round Five coaches’ votes after Adelaide defeated Gold Coast by 73 points on Easter Sunday

The Crows swept the votes, with Betts and Smith each receiving nine votes from coaches Don Pyke and Stuart Dew.

Betts, in his 300th AFL game, booted six goals from 14 disposals including a Goal of the Year contender in the final quarter. 

Smith was outstanding in his 150th AFL game, providing plenty of drive from half-back. He finished with 27 disposals at 85 per cent efficiency, a game high 697 metres gained and two goals. 

Co-captain Rory Sloane polled five votes for his 32 disposals, seven clearances, six tackles and five inside 50s. Sloane is the leading Crow in this year’s AFLCA Champion of the Year Award with 17 votes for the season, equal 13th on the overall leaderboard.

Brad Crouch (three votes), Cam Ellis-Yolmen (two votes) and David Mackay (two votes) rounded out the voting.
