Reilly O’Brien experienced a break-out season in 2019, playing 18 senior games and making the ruck spot his own.

After playing just two games in 2016, the 23-year-old bided his time in the reserves until he was called up to replace an injured Sam Jacobs in Round Three.

He made the most of the opportunity, averaging 33 hit-outs per game, 15 disposals, four clearances and three marks.

O’Brien also averaged 4.3 tackles - ranked third in the League for rucks - and 15.2 pressure acts, both rated elite by Champion Data.

In July, O’Brien signed a two-year contract extension, ensuring he would be at West Lakes until at least the end of 2021.
