Ticking off two locations on his travel bucket list are top of Jake Kelly’s to-do list for 2020.

Off the field, his New Year’s resolution is to spend his off-season in Europe to visit the Auschwitz concentration camp in Poland and see the northern lights in Iceland.

“I’ve wanted to backpack through Europe for a while now,” Kelly told AFC Media.

“I’d love to spend the entirety of my off-season travelling around Europe and I really want to visit Auschwitz.

“I’m not sure who I’ll go with yet - maybe Ned McHenry, he loves it.”

When he’s not training or planning his travels, the 24-year-old will be hitting the books.

“I want to start University again this year - my goal is to knock over four courses,” Kelly said.

“I’m studying Business Property at the University of South Australia.”

As for his footy, the defender’s focus will be on his aerial game and ability to intercept mark.

After a strong 2019 season, in which he averaged 16.2 disposals, 5.2 marks and 5.1 contested possessions across 22 games, Kelly hopes to take his game to another level in 2020.
