Adelaide captain Rory Sloane expects to see Taylor Walker back at the Club in top shape, given the equipment at his disposal at home.

Sloane spoke to Triple M’s The Rush Hour with JB and Billy on Wednesday night and revealed Walker was well-stocked to stay fit.

“I took free weights, a big cage to do chin-ups, squats and that sort of thing,” Sloane said.

“I thought I went hard, then I saw what Tex grabbed… rebounders, footies, all sorts of gear.

“So if Tex doesn’t come back in the best nick of his life, he’s got no excuse.”

Sloane, a Victorian native, considered traveling east following South Australia’s decision to quarantine anyone crossing the border for two weeks.

For Rory, Bel and Sonny, the best option was to stay at home in Adelaide.

“I thought about it, but we would have had to take the dogs as well,” Sloane said.

“If we came back into training, we would have had to spend two weeks in quarantine…

“It just didn’t make sense. We’ve got the beach down the road, gym at home."

An avid surfer, Sloane has also found time for a surf during the suspended period.

“I’ve been able to get in the water and go down by myself, instead of taking some mates,” he said.

“It’s really nice to get in the water and freshen up when I can.”
