Adelaide has finalised a trade that will see Chloe Scheer join Geelong in exchange for draft selections.

The Crows also handed over Pick No. 49 to the Cats and in return bolster their draft hand by receiving Picks No. 20 and No. 47.

Crows Women’s Head of Football Phil Harper said it was disappointing to see Scheer depart but the Club had taken a bigger picture view with its list management.

“Chloe is an extremely talented player and we didn’t want to lose her,” Harper said.

“However, she was presented with a compelling offer by the Cats and we had to consider the broader implications of matching such a deal.

“It would have forced us to move on one of the players who finished high up in our Club Champion voting and we were not prepared to do that.

“We wish Chloe well with the next phase of her football career.”

The AFLW Trade Period concludes on Wednesday, June 9.
