Forward Taylor Walker says he’s talked Adelaide’s younger players through the Crows’ accuracy woes against Collingwood.

Adelaide was unable to make the most of its scoring opportunities last Saturday, kicking 10.13 (73) to go down to the Pies by five points.

The Coleman Medal contender told Triple M’s Roo & Ditts on Tuesday that, while frustrating, players would work hard to improve.

“I’m not too worried about it personally,” he said.

“As a group, we will review that today.

“It’s not been a pattern for us. We want to not let it become a pattern. We will do some work on that this week.”

Walker revealed his advice to Adelaide’s younger players to ensure their heads stayed in the game.

“It does sit in the back of your mind but that’s why I say to the young kids, ‘Make sure you have a routine’,” he said.

“Because that cancels everything out and you just go back and focus on that (goal kicking). It’s super important to have a routine.

“Once again, it wasn't really a pattern for me but I have to go back and nail a few from those spots this week and get the routine back in order.”

Adelaide will take on St Kilda in Cairns on Saturday June 12, with first bounce at 6.55pm ACST (7.25pm AEST).
