A highly skilled midfielder who is strong overhead and dangerous around goal. Jones is a talented basketballer who turned down a college scholarship in America to focus on her AFL Women’s draft dreams. A standout in 2017’s Under-18 National Championships for the Allies, Jones was their MVP and made the All Australian team. Tenacious, tough and a natural leader who impressed in her first AFLW season, playing every game and earning a Rising Star nomination in Round Five. Jones was selected with pick No.24 in the 2017 draft.
The 19-year-old excelled up forward in her first AFLW season, utilising her athletic leap and pace at ground level. Jones earned a Rising Star nomination for her two-goal game against Carlton in Round Five. The former basketballer finished in the top 10 in Adelaide’s best and fairest count.
