Adelaide could unveil up to 10 SANFL debutants for its Round One match against South Adelaide at Noarlunga Oval on Friday afternoon.

Emerging ruckman/forward Toby Murray – the younger brother of Adelaide’s AFL defender Nick – has been included in the squad, alongside father-son product Tyler Welsh.

Welsh, the son of four-time Adelaide leading goalkicker Scott Welsh, will play with the Crows’ State League side in 2024, outside of his state and national academy commitments, as part of the SANFL’s Rookie Program.

Other SANFL-listed players who could feature in their first State League game for the Club include Langhorne Creek premiership midfielder Darcy Clifford, Prince Alfred Old Collegians product Jayden Davis, Broadview co-captain Jay O’Leary and Sacred Heart Old Collegians’ Harry Boyle - the brother of Crows SANFL Best and Fairest winner Jay Boyle.

AFL-listed defender Dan Curtin will also line up in his first official SANFL game for the Crows, alongside fellow recruits Oscar Ryan, Charlie Edwards and Irishman Karl Gallagher.

The match will mark Skipper Jack Madgen’s first League game as Captain.

AFL Emergencies will be added to the squad.

Adelaide plays South Adelaide at Noarlunga Oval on Friday at 2.10pm, with the game to be broadcast on the AFL website and SANFL Now app.
