Adelaide has finalised a two-year contract extension for ruckman Lachie McAndrew who will remain at West Lakes until at least the end of 2027.

McAndrew, 25, began training with the Club late last year and officially became a Crow via the AFL’s pre-season Supplemental Selection Period in February.

He had previously been on Sydney’s list, playing two AFL games for the Swans in 2023.

“I worked really hard in the summer to earn a list spot, so to be given two more years is something I’m really proud of,” McAndrew said.

“I’m grateful to the Club for showing the faith in me and I plan to repay it in every game I play.

“We’ve got a great group here and I’m excited to see what we can achieve in the next few years.”

Crows General Manager List Management Justin Reid described McAndrew as a talented ruckman who was continuing to refine his craft.

“Lachie has been a great fit for our squad, both on and off the field, since he started training with us prior to Christmas,” Reid said.

“He is making the most of the opportunity and this has been reflected by his form in the SANFL.

“It is a credit to his work ethic and genuine desire to keep improving which has been really noticeable to his teammates and coaches”.
