The Crows Foundation has been hard at work since the start of the year, donating a staggering $114,600 to seven different charities.

Established in May 2005, as the independent charity arm of the Adelaide Football Club with the charter to help South Australian children in need, the foundation has donated over $600,000 to more than 35 different charities in SA.

Below is a short summary on each of the recent donations made in 2012.

Cora Barclay Centre
$20,000

By purchasing state-of-the-art audiology equipment designed for diagnosing hearing loss in babies, toddlers and young children aged 2 weeks to 5 years old, the Foundation has helped to remove the current a 2-3 month wait on State Government diagnostic tests for babies identified as having potential hearing loss at birth.

HeartKids SA
$20,000

Currently SA does not provide paediatric heart surgery so families have to travel to Melbourne with their critically ill child for life-saving heart surgery. On average 2-3 families a week travel to Melbourne from the Women’s and Children’s Hospital and Flinders Hospital. This car will allow the families to travel to the hospital as quickly and easily as possible and eliminating the extra cost of car hire, taxi fares and public transport.
