ADELAIDE superstar Taylor Walker is expected to have precautionary scans on his hamstring early this week, but the club isn't concerned.

Walker reported tightness in his hamstring after a training session on Saturday morning but still attended the club's round three loss against the Sydney Swans.

The club told AFL.com.au it is confident the scans will reveal no structural damage, saying the issue has likely arisen from increasing Walker's training workload as he nears a return to competitive football. Walker would not have been considered for selection at either SANFL or AFL level this week regardless.

Walker has spent nearly 12 months on the sidelines after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament in round five last year. Walker was seen watching the Crows' first SANFL match of the season at Prospect Oval in North Adelaide on Sunday afternoon.

The Crows are also confident about the injury status of star midfielder Scott Thompson who suffered a corked thigh in Saturday's loss to the Swans.

Thompson limped from the field and was eventually subbed for debutant Matt Crouch, but the club believes he'll be available for Sunday's crucial match against St Kilda. Mitch Grigg (adductor) and Sam Kerridge (eye) are also both expected to be fit, while key pair Tom Lynch (shoulder) and Andy Otten (knee) are still a week or two away from a return.
