Adelaide’s SANFL team has defeated the Port Adelaide Magpies by 112 points in an exhibition game at Adelaide Oval.

The Crows held Port Magpies to a solitary goal for the first three quarters of the game and were never headed in the 19.18 (132) to 3.2 (20) thrashing.

The win followed Adelaide’s 32-point AFL victory over the Gold Coast Suns on Sunday afternoon.

Angus Graham booted four goals for the Crows in an impressive performance up forward and in the ruck.

Official stats were not recorded during the exhibition match, but Mitch Grigg and Cam Ellis-Yolmen proved their class with dominant performances in the midfield.

Rory Atkins was also prominent and set up many forward forays from half back with his piercing left boot.

Defender Luke Thompson was at his reliable best and snuck forward to slot a rare goal. Jason Porplyzia also booted one major after pouncing on an errant Port Adelaide kick-in late in the third quarter.

Kyle Hartigan and Sam Siggins were the remaining AFL-listed Crows to lace up the boots in the mid-season trial.

Both clubs fielded a number of development squad players from country football leagues including participants from Foxtel’s upcoming reality show The Recruit. The series kicks off on July 16 on Fox8.

Regular SANFL competition returns next weekend when Adelaide confronts Woodville-West Torrens at Woodville Oval on Saturday afternoon.
