Ian Callinan played an important role in Central District’s first win of the season in the SANFL yesterday.

The small forward and midfielder collected 22 touches and kicked two goals as Central came from behind at half-time to beat Port Magpies by 43 points at Alberton Oval.

Graham Johncock also kicked two goals, for the Magpies, from 19 possessions.

Jared Petrenko picked up a similar number of touches and kicked a goal in his first game this year with the Eagles, who thumped South by 114 points.

Sturt had the bye on the weekend.
