Midfielder Nick Joyce requires season-ending surgery on both shoulders.

The 19-year-old midfielder dislocated a shoulder playing for the Eagles in the SANFL two weeks ago but has also been troubled by the other shoulder this season.

The fourth-placed Eagles will also be without Luke Thompson for up to a month. The key defender strained ankle ligaments last weekend.

With Jared Petrenko in the mix to play in Sunday’s Showdown, Cam Ellis-Yolmen may be the only Crow lining up for the Eagles against Glenelg on Saturday. Sam Shaw has been named at centre half forward for the Tigers.

Sturt’s team to take on West Adelaide at Richmond on Saturday will definitely include Angus Graham, Matthew Jaensch, Tim McIntyre, Brodie Martin and Richard Tambling but Sam Kerridge was listed in Adelaide’s 25-man squad.

Central District has named Ian Callinan and Ben Dowdell to take on North Adelaide, which loses forward Lewis Johnston to the Crows.

At this stage there will be no current Adelaide players in action at The Parade tonight, although 200-game Crow Graham Johncock continues to play with the Port Magpies.

Jack Osborn and Dylan Orval (Central), Tim Klaosen (Glenelg), Rory Atkins (Sturt) and Sam Siggins (North) are playing in the reserves.

South Adelaide has the bye.
