Stats that matter
Young forward Lewis Johnston (six goals) was the leading goalkicker in the AFL last round.

Adelaide’s last win over West Coast at Patersons Stadium was by 22 points in Round 15, 2010. The Crows have only beaten the Eagles four times from 15 attempts at the venue.

Patrick Dangerfield is the only Crow capable of overtaking Tom Lynch as the Club’s leading goalkicker (in the minor round) this season. Lynch, who is sidelined with a foot injury, has kicked 33 goals. Dangerfield is the next-best Crow on 28. Injured forward Josh Jenkins has 24 and Richard Douglas 20.

The Eagles are the second-best tackling team in the competition. Scott Selwood leads the way in this statistic, ranked fourth in the AFL.

Crow Scott Thompson amassed 18 contested possessions last weekend. Only Sydney Swans premiership player Josh Kennedy (19) had more in Round 22.

Forward Josh Kennedy (60 goals) is third in the race for the Coleman Medal. Kennedy is also ranked sixth in the League for contested marks. He was the hero last time these two teams met, kicking the winning goal for West Coast inside the final minute of the game.

Brad Crouch is ranked 13th in the competition for total disposals (237) since the mid-season break.

Retiring West Coast players Andrew Embley and Adam Selwood are in line to play farewell games against Adelaide on Saturday night.

The Crows and Eagles have previously met three times in the final round of home and away season, in 2011, 2005 and 1998. Adelaide won two of the three games, which were all played in Perth.

Embley pulls the pin – AFL.com.au
WEST Coast veteran Andrew Embley has announced his retirement. Embley won the Norm Smith medal in 2006 as best afield in the Eagles' grand final win over Sydney, and sits seventh on the club's all-time games played list. The 32-year-old has managed just 10 games this year due to injuries and suspension, but will notch his 250-game milestone in Saturday's AFL clash with Adelaide at Patersons Stadium. Embley becomes the third Eagle to retire this year after Adam Selwood and Mark Nicoski.

Schofield sidelined after unprovoked attack
West Coast Eagles defender Will Schofield has a fractured cheekbone, which will not require surgery as a result of facial injuries suffered in an off-field attack on the weekend, but he has been ruled out of the final match of the season.

Eagles have wasted year: Masten – AFL.com.au
WITH one round remaining in its disappointing season, midfielder Chris Masten says West Coast has "wasted one whole year". Masten says the Eagles' playing group was disgusted with the football they had played in 2013, putting their coach John Worsfold under pressure. The Eagles have copped back-to-back 10 goal losses to Geelong and Collingwood as their season has slipped into the abyss.  They sit 13th on the ladder with one round remaining after beginning the year as one of the premiership fancies.
