Tom Lynch will play his first game in seven weeks when he lines up for Adelaide’s SANFL team against North Adelaide on Sunday.

Lynch suffered a broken jaw in the opening term of Adelaide’s AFL clash with Melbourne in Round Seven and has been named at centre half-forward for the SANFL Crows.

It will be the 23-year-old’s first appearance for the SANFL Crows since a 31-possession performance against Sturt in Round Two.

Matt Crouch also returns to Adelaide’s state league side after the left-footer was substituted during the Crows’ 36-point victory over North Melbourne.

Murray Bridge defender Matthew Thompson and 190cm utility Sam Tharaldsen have also been added to an extended interchange.

AFL-listed duo Brad Crouch (suspension) and Cameron Ellis-Yolmen (dislocated finger) are the only confirmed outs at this stage.

Adelaide SANFL coach Heath Younie said it would be a great boost to see Lynch back in action this weekend.

“Tom has had an unlucky run with injuries this year, so we are thrilled to have him back this week,” Younie said.

“He’s an intelligent footballer and it’s a timely inclusion given the form that North Adelaide showed last round.”

Younie said the SANFL Crows were hungry to return to their winning ways following the side’s narrow six-point loss to Central District.

“The team has really banded together well in the past few weeks,” he said.

“But we were pretty disappointed not to come away with the win last round. The group is really driven to have that success and it’s another great challenge against the Roosters.”

Adelaide’s clash with North Adelaide kicks off at 2.10pm at Prospect Oval with free entry to all Crows ticketed members. The game will be telecast live on 7TWO.

The remaining Round 11 SANFL fixture sees South Adelaide host Central District and Glenelg battle Norwood at The Parade on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles welcome Sturt to Woodville Oval while Port Magpies travel to Richmond to take on West Adelaide on Sunday.
