Approaching another sold-out game at Adelaide Oval, the 19th Man have helped the Crows move into second place in average home attendance this season.

Adelaide is attracting an average crowd of 47,613 in seven home games this year. This is a significant increase on last year’s home attendance average of 33,613 across 11 matches. Only Victorian powerhouse Collingwood (53,128) is getting more fans to their home games in 2014.

Remarkably, Adelaide’s 2014 home attendance average is 4,245 higher than the Club’s singlehighest home game attendance last year (Balfours Showdown XXXV in Round 19).

Public tickets to Friday night’s blockbuster against reigning premiers Hawthorn sold out more than a week in advance. If you don’t have a ticket, you can still gain entry to the crucial clash – and two other home games – by becoming a Bronze 3-Game Member.

Members who can’t attend are encouraged to pass their ticket on to family or friends. Adelaide’s biggest crowd this season was 50,552 for the Balfours Showdown win a fortnight ago. Acting co-captain Patrick Dangerfield said the players were looking forward to playing in front of another big, vocal home crowd.

“We’re going to have 50,000 people at Adelaide Oval on aFriday night against the reigning premiers. It’s a great game for us. We don’tget too many opportunities to play on a Friday night," Dangerfield said.

"We're very aware Hawthorn is a quality side and they'll be out to improve on their performance from last week. It's a massive game for us, but with the 19th Man behind us I'm sure we can plau some good footy."

On behalf of the Adelaide Football Club, thank you to our loyal fans for your ongoing support!
