Adelaide’s buzzer beater during the Club’s Round Nine victory over Collingwood has taken second place in the countdown of the best Crows Plays of the Year for 2014.

Leading by just eight points with less than 20 seconds remaining in the third term, the Crows transferred play from one end of Adelaide Oval to the other in brilliant style.

Debutant Charlie Cameron collected a loose ball on the western wing and danced his way around two Collingwood opponents, before delivering a drop punt onto the chest of Sam Kerridge in the corridor.

With just six seconds remaining, it looked as though the Crows would run out of time as Kerridge sprinted inside 50m towards goal and handed off to Josh Jenkins alone in the goalsquare.

But the deafening roar of The 19th Man drowned out the siren, with the umpires, commentators and players all unsure whether three-quarter time had been called.

Confusion reigned on the field, as a returning Taylor Walker threw his weight around and flew the flag for his teammates.

Jenkins’ goal was ultimately allowed, and the 50,051-strong crowd were rewarded with a famous 21-point victory at the new home of The 19th Man.
