North Melbourne has upgraded Robin Nahas to its senior list ahead of Sunday’s Round One clash with Adelaide.

The small forward booted eight goals in two VFL practice matches over the past fortnight, with his speed and pressure earning him promotion from the Roos’ rookie list.

Nahas, who dislocated his AC joint last season, was delisted at the end of 2014 but then re-rookied by North Melbourne ahead of Season 2015.

The former Tiger is now firmly in the mix to confront the Crows at Adelaide Oval on Sunday afternoon.

“It’s a good start, but the hard work starts now,” Nahas said on Thursday.

“I’m available for selection now so I’ve got to keep playing well and hopefully I get an opportunity soon.

“I’ve been in the system long enough to know that you can’t get too comfortable no matter what happens, so I’ve just got to continually work hard and wait for that opportunity.”

Nahas’ promotion comes as the Kangaroos’ move Daniel Nielson’s (knee) to the long-term injury list.
