South Australia Police Assistant Commissioner Linda Fellows has joined the Adelaide Football Club’s Board as an appointed Director.

Ms Fellows, who is also an inaugural member of the Club’s Professional Standards and Integrity Committee, fills the final vacancy on a two-year term.

Under the Club’s Constitution, the Board can comprise a maximum of nine Directors with two of those Member-elected.

Chairman Rob Chapman described Ms Fellows as a highly respected member of the police force and avid Crows fan who had worked closely with the Club in recent years.

“Linda has served the community for nearly three decades and has an intimate knowledge and understanding of the issues at the forefront of society,” Mr Chapman said.

“She has shown outstanding leadership and possesses a high level of strategic business acumen, having been involved in major projects that have shaped the police force in our State.

“Importantly her skillset complements what other Directors already provide and we look forward to continuing to build on the Club’s strong foundation.”

Ms Fellows joined the SA police force as a cadet in 1987 and has since held numerous postings, including with the Crime Investigation Branch.

She was awarded the Australian Police Medal in the Queen’s Birthday Honours in 2012 and promoted to Assistant Commissioner last year.

“As a long-time Crows Member, I am honoured to now be appointed as a Board Director and given the opportunity to work within another professional and committed team,” Ms Fellows said.

“My career in law enforcement has been varied and challenging and I am excited by the prospect of using my wide ranging experiences to help drive the Club forward.”

Adelaide’s Board Directors are Rob Chapman (Chairman), Jim Hazel (Deputy Chairman), Bob Foord, Andrew Payze, Kate Gould, Mark Ricciuto, Rod Jameson, Andrew Fagan and Linda Fellows.
