24 – Nathan van Berlo was selected by Adelaide with pick No.24 in the 2004 AFL National Draft.

14 – The hard-running midfielder will become the 14th Crow to notch the 200-game milestone when he laces up the boots against Geelong on Saturday.

7 – VB has worn the No.7 guernsey for his entire career with the Crows. Nigel Smart is the only other Crow who has played in the No.7 jumper.

144 – He was the 144th player to represent Adelaide when he made his AFL debut in Round Three, 2005 against Port Adelaide.

40 – Van Berlo collected a career-high 40 possessions against Carlton in Round 18, 2008 at AAMI Stadium. It’s the only occasion where VB has cracked the 40-disposal mark.

68 – While not a noted goalkicker, VB has kicked 68 goals throughout his career, including 12 games where he’s slotted two majors.

17 – Van Berlo has earned 17 Brownlow votes through his 11 seasons at AFL level.

2011 – He was awarded the Showdown Medal for his match-winning performance against Port Adelaide in Round 19, 2011. Van Berlo amassed 30 possessions, five clearances and five inside 50ms to also collect the three Brownlow Medal votes against the Power.

2 – Nathan van Berlo was runner-up to Scott Thompson in Adelaide’s 2011 Club Champion Award.

126 – The tough Crow laid 126 tackles in 2012 – the second highest recorded by an Adelaide player in a single season behind Rory Sloane’s 147 tackles from 2014.

67 – He’s ranked fifth at Adelaide for total tackles this season with 67, despite missing three games earlier in the year.

6 – He was the sixth captain of the Club when he was announced as Simon Goodwin’s successor in 2011. He skippered the Crows for four seasons before handing the reigns to current captain Taylor Walker. 

66 – Van Berlo led the Crows for 66 games as captain from 2011-2014.

26 – VB racked up 26 handballs in Adelaide’s 74-point thrashing of West Coast in Round 21, 2009, ranking him equal-fifth at the Club for handpasses in a match.

582 – A ruptured right Achilles Tendon suffered during the 2013 pre-season forced van Berlo to wait 582 days between games. He played against West Coast in the final round of Season 2013, missed Adelaide’s entire 2014 campaign, before returning in Round One this year.
