Adelaide interim coach Scott Camporeale has ruled out following Fremantle and North Melbourne's lead of resting players this weekend, despite an away elimination final appearing all but guaranteed.

The Crows need the Kangaroos to beat Richmond on Friday night to have a chance of securing a home final but with the eighth-placed Kangaroos resting nine key players, defeat appears inevitable.

Assuming Adelaide beats Geelong on Saturday, the only other way the Club could play at home next week would be if the Brisbane Lions knocked off the Western Bulldogs.

Camporeale categorically dismissed the idea of withdrawing players late, insisting his priority was to continue building momentum and team synergy.

"That's my philosophy at the moment, absolutely, with where our list's at in terms of a young list and the maturity of it, we need to make sure we're all on the same page going into the first week of the finals," he said.

"In terms of the blueprint, as I've said previously, there's some positive signs but we've got to do it consistently over the next three or four weeks to get the result that we want.

"How we pressure the opposition, how we move the ball and how we defend - those are the three key things that we've been focusing on all year.

"The last few weeks it's come together for the majority of games so that's going to be another test tomorrow."

Crows unchanged for Cats

Superstar Crow Patrick Dangerfield is expected to attract a massive amount of attention on Saturday with Cats fans set to applaud his every possession.

It's the latest of a number of publicity stunts aimed at luring the 25-year-old to the club next year.

Camporeale didn't think Dangerfield would be at all distracted, pointing out that he's dealt with it the entire season.

"It's been all year really, the players understand what's going on, we're worried about this week's game and whatever happens there happens," he said.

"[In] footy clubs there's always something going on so the players are pretty resilient to that.

"If you know Paddy that stuff just bounces off him, his form suggests it hasn't bothered him … I'll coach Paddy no differently than I'll coach the other 21 players."
