Love is in the air at West Lakes this off season.

Ruckman Sam Jacobs kicked off the break by proposing to partner, Izzy Daniel, while on holiday. The loved-up couple is currently in New Zealand.

Wedding plans are further advanced for fellow Crows Nathan van Berlo and Matt Wright, who will both walk down the aisle in the coming weeks. ‘VB’ will marry fiancé Jess, while Wrighty will wed long-time partner, Anna.

Next off season is also shaping as a busy one, with Rory Sloane to marry fiance Belinda in Byron Bay and Ricky Henderson and his partner Jenny in South Australia.

Rory Sloane, Andy Otten, Ricky Henderson, Richard Douglas, Brodie Smith and Rory Laird were among the players to attend Wrighty’s bucks show last weekend. Otto managed to fit in a trip to Japan in between the end of the season and the pre-wedding festivities.

After spending Grand Final week in Melbourne, Taylor Walker was also quick to jump on a plane. The Crows captain jetted to Hawaii with girlfriend, Ellie, and took in a college football game with former AFL player and rising NFL star, Scott Harding.

Rising Star nominee Jake Lever also enjoyed a romantic getaway. Jake and partner, Jess, visited tropical North Queensland, soaking up the sun in Palm Cove and Fitzroy Island.

After a quick trip home to Victoria, Jake headed to Bali with a host of young Crows, including Riley Knight, Harrison Wigg, Reilly O’Brien, Mitch McGovern, Harry Dear and Keenan Ramsey.

Closer to home, Eddie Betts enjoyed a 36ers game with cousin and former Crow Graham Johncock. Eddie and his family will enjoy a holiday in Fiji before heading to the US and Ireland as part of the International Rules series.
