Rory Sloane is the latest Crow to be rated among the competition’s elite in the AFL Players' Top 50 standings.

Sloane ranked No.30 in the rankings, proving he remains highly regarded by his peers despite an injury-affected 2015 season. The courageous midfielder missed six matches with cheekbone injuries but was influential when fit.

The 2013 Club Champion finished sixth in last year’s best and fairest count and will continue as part of Adelaide’s senior leadership group this season.

Sloane joins livewire goalkicker Eddie Betts (No.32) and captain Taylor Walker (No.38) in the AFL Players’ Top 50 list to date.

The standings are determined by the players themselves, with all 18 clubs taking part in the survey to determine the AFL's best player according to those who know best. A total of 90 players received at least one vote.

The countdown continues until Friday, March 18, when the AFL's No.1 player – according to his peers – is revealed.

One of the great competitors in the AFL and a wet-weather specialist, Sloane struggled for continuity in 2015 after twice fracturing his cheekbone. The 25-year-old slipped slightly in the player rankings but a full season should see him pushing back up the list again. He started to find his form towards the end of the year, but has already proven himself as one of the Club's elite players.
