2 – For the second year in a row, Adelaide and North Melbourne will do battle in Round One.

3 – The Crows and Kangaroos have met three times previously in opening round of a season. The home team ran out 77-point winners when the two sides clashed at Adelaide Oval in Round One last year. North Melbourne won the two prior opening round contests against the Crows, in 2004 and 1995.

1 – A total of 45,607 fans turned out to watch Adelaide beat the Roos in 2015. It’s the biggest Round One crowd the Crows have ever played in front of.

77 – Adelaide’s victory over North Melbourne last year was the Club’s biggest in a season opener since 1996. The Crows’ greatest-ever win in Round One was 94 points against Richmond in 1993.

5 – The Crows have played the Bulldogs five times in Round One – more than any other team.

12 – Adelaide has a 48 per cent winning record in Round One, having won 12 of its 25 season openers. North Melbourne has not won a Round One game since 2009.

8 – Current Crows players made Round One AFL debuts: Eddie Betts (for Carlton in 2005), David Mackay (2008), Taylor Walker (2009), Sam Jacobs (for Carlton in 2009), Kyle Cheney (for Melbourne in 2009), All Australian Brodie Smith (2011) and trade period recruits Paul Seedsman (for Collingwood in 2012) and Curtly Hampton (for Greater Western Sydney also in 2012).

10 – Goals kicked by Tony Modra in Adelaide’s big Round One win over the Tigers at the MCG in ‘93.

13 – Modra went three better in the Crows’ season-opener against Carlton in 1994. The cult figure booted 13 goals to equal the Blues’ team total (13). Adelaide won the game by 66 points.

178 – Adelaide’s score 28.10 (178) against Carlton in ‘94’ remains the Club’s highest-ever Round One score.

53 – The Club’s lowest score in Round One was 7.11 (53) against West Coast at Football Park in 2005. The Eagles won the match with only nine goals in a dour stoush.

39 – Scott Thompson holds the record for most possessions (37) by a Crow in Round One. The dual Club Champion racked up 39 touches in Adelaide’s win over the Gold Coast at Metricon Stadium in 2012.

54 – The Crows have averaged a winning margin of 54 points in their Round One victories.

2008 – Adelaide last played a season-opener at Etihad Stadium (Docklands) in 2008.

8 – The Crows have gone on to play finals in eight of the 12 years when they’ve won in Round One.
