Adelaide and Richmond have played 33 times. The Crows hold the overall advantage, 21 – 12.

The Tigers have won four of the past six clashes between the two sides. However, the Crows took the points in the most recent meeting at home in Round 19 last season.

On that night, reliable Crow Scott Thompson amassed 30 possessions, 10 tackles and six clearances as his side cruised to a 36-point win. Dustin Martin bagged three goals from 21 touches for the Tigers, to earn two Brownlow Medal votes in a losing team.

Martin enjoys a good record against the Crows. The powerful midfielder/half-forward has kicked 12 goals in his last four clashes with Adelaide.

Each of the teams has recorded one win and one loss in the opening two rounds of Season 2016.

Both of Richmond’s games have been decided by fewer than 10 points.

The biggest crowd for a game between the Crows and Tigers was 50,459 at Adelaide Oval in Round 21, 2014.

Adelaide hasn’t beaten Richmond in Victoria since Round 11, 2008. There have only been two matches between these teams in Melbourne since '08'. It will be the first clash between the two sides at Docklands in a decade (Round Eight, 2006).

Saturday’s match at Etihad Stadium will be the second of four games Adelaide plays in Victoria in the first seven rounds of the season.

Crows defender Brodie Smith is set to play his 100th AFL game this weekend.

Richmond playmaker Bachar Houli is ranked equal-first with Smith for rebound 50ms (14).

Tiger talls Jack Riewoldt and Ty Vickery have each kicked five goals this season to top the club’s goalkicking after two rounds.

Riewoldt will play his 50th straight game this weekend. The forward has played 49 consecutive matches dating back to the 2013 Elimination Final.

The Tiges are averaging 12.5 marks inside 50m this season – second only to West Coast.

Adelaide is the second-best clearance team in the competition after two rounds, averaging 44.5 a game.

Richmond has the second highest percentage of effective kicks (70.2) in the League this season.

The Tigers are averaging the second fewest forward 50m entries per game (48) but are efficient once in there – scoring a goal from 27.1 per cent of entries (ranked equal-fifth). The Crows have kicked goals from 32.1 per cent of their inside 50ms – ranked No.2.

Richmond has been hit by injuries early in the season. The club has used 25 players behind only Collingwood and Fremantle (26), and could add more players to that total with defender Dylan Grimes (hamstring) ruled out and ex-Crow Ivan Maric in line to return this weekend.

Tony Modra holds the record for most Crows goals in a game against Richmond. Modra booted 13.4 at Football Park in Round 16, 1993.

Inaugural captain Chris McDermott had 44 disposals against Richmond at the MCG in Round 20, 1992 – the most-ever by a Crow in a clash with the Tigers.
