Adelaide has launched an online heritage site to provide supporters access to the Club’s growing archives.

The Crows Collection is an evolving library of past player records, profiles, photos, museum items, documents and other paraphernalia from the first 25 years of the Adelaide Football Club, developed by the Club’s Heritage Committee.

There are now five separate collections – Museum, Player Profiles, Team Lists, Club Identities and Phil Walsh Tributes – but each of these is also connected.

Visitors can explore the individual collections, use filters to refine the search, or search the complete collection.

For example, searching for 1994 will display everything on the site related to that year, or searching for Modra will show everything on the site related to our Club record goalkicker including team photos and images of his boots, the No 6 locker, medals, guernseys and player cards.

Every player to have worn the Crows guernsey is included in the players section, with written biographies and photos for each past player.

There are already more than 600 items logged in The Crows Collection and it will continue to expand as an ongoing project of the Heritage Committee.

Crows CEO Andrew Fagan said the project had created a useful tool for supporters.

“We are a relatively young Club but have a proud history,” he said. “The Crows Collection will be an effective way for us to record and display a range of items and information that would otherwise not be readily available.”
