Crows Injury Update April 26 GM of High Performance Brett Burton gives us an update on Brad Crouch & Wayne Milera.

Young Crows Brad Crouch and Wayne Milera Junior could both return from injury this weekend.

Crouch, who played the opening two games of the AFL season, suffered a slight hamstring strain at training in the lead up to Adelaide’s Round Three clash with Richmond.

The Club continued its conservative approach to the management of the 22-year-old, who missed the entire 2015 AFL season because of injury.

General Manager of High Performance Brett Burton said Crouch trained with Adelaide’s SANFL team on Friday, and completed another solid session over the weekend.

“Brad Crouch trained very strongly on Saturday,” Burton said.

“He’ll get a full week of training in this week and train with the main group tomorrow (Wednesday).

“He’ll be available for selection should he get through that session.”

Milera played the first four matches of his debut AFL season before suffering a minor quad injury.

The 18-year-old wingman/half-forward sat out the loss to Hawthorn on Friday night, but is making excellent progress in his recovery.

“Wayne has also been training well,” Burton said.

“As long as he gets through the main training session, he’ll put his hand up to play as well.”

Adelaide reported one new injury over the weekend.

Forward Troy Menzel was concussed while laying a strong tackle in an impressive opening quarter performance in Adelaide’s SANFL win over Glenelg on Sunday.

Defender Sam Shaw, who is also recovering from concussion, missed the match. Both players will be assessed in line with concussion protocols to determine their availability.

Recruit Curtly Hampton continues his rehabilitation from foot surgery.

Adelaide’s AFL team takes on Fremantle at home from 1:40pm (local time) on Saturday. The SANFL Crows play South Adelaide at Noarlunga on Sunday at 2:10pm (local time).
