A former Crow and SANFL star will tackle a new challenge when Channel 7’s new series of House Rules premieres on Wednesday night.

Married couple Brooke and Michelle Fogden will represent South Australia this season on the renovation reality TV show, battling head-to-head with five other teams from four states.

Brooke was selected by the Crows with pick No.41 in Adelaide’s maiden National Draft in 1992.

While Fogden only spent a year on the Crows’ list and did not play a game in the tri-colours, he went on to carve out a successful 165-game SANFL career with West Adelaide and Glenelg and won a best and fairest with the Bloods in 1996. He also polled 31 Magarey Medal throughout his career before retiring from SANFL football in 2001.

Along with his wife of seven years, Michelle, the 43-year-old landscaper will now hand over his keys to the family home and travel the country to compete against other pairings in a series of renovation transformations.

The teams’ work will be judged weekly by award-winning architect and designer Joe Snell and Home Beautiful magazine editor Wendy Moore.

The couple which wins the grand prize will have their mortgage paid off in full.

The Fogdens continue to be avid supporters of the Crows and will be in attendance for Saturday's Round Six clash with Fremantle at Adelaide Oval.

The new season of House Rules premieres on Channel 7 on Wednesday night at 7.30pm in South Australia.
