Josh Jenkins’ eight-goal display against the Western Bulldogs resulted in the highest AFL Fantasy score of his career.

Jenkins booted eight straight majors to be Adelaide’s leading Fantasy performer with 109 points in Saturday night’s clash at Etihad Stadium.

The athletic forward, who moved into equal-third spot in the Coleman Medal race on 23 goals, also had seven marks (three contested) and 13 possessions to finish as Adelaide’s only Fantasy centurion. Jenkins’ total was his fifth triple-figure Fantasy score of his career and also his first ton of the season.

It was a good round for forwards. Jenkins was the fourth ranked pure forward in AFL Fantasy for Round Seven behind Nick Riewoldt (144), Isaac Heeney (119) and Lance Franklin (110).

Jenkins’ value soared by $10k to an even $400,000 and he’ll take a very generous break even of just 58 into Friday night’s clash with Geelong.

Fellow forward Tom Lynch was next in line with 99 points against the Dogs.

The hard-working Crow was Adelaide’s leading ball-winner alongside Matt Crouch (81 points) with 24 disposals, four marks and three goals.

Lynch’s 99 was his second-best Fantasy score of the season behind a massive 132 in Round Two against Port Adelaide which saw him claim his first Showdown Medal. He’s yet to post another triple-figure total this season, but has still been one of Adelaide’s most consistent Fantasy scorers.

Unfortunately, there was little else to cheer about further down the Fantasy order for the Crows.

Sam Jacobs fought hard for his 82 points from 14 possessions, three marks and 27 hit-outs, but still scored below expectations, particularly after a strong 106 against Fremantle the previous round.

Livewire forward Charlie Cameron provided some spark with a handy score of 79 from 12 disposals, a goal and an equal-match high nine tackles.

Cameron’s physicality at the man remains a trademark of his game and could translate to even bigger Fantasy scores if he can find a bit more of the ball. The former rookie is still searching for his first-ever AFL Fantasy century.

Adelaide ranked 15^th for AFL Fantasy points for Round Seven with just 1,395 points as a team. As a comparison, the Crows scored 1,760 points the previous week against the Dockers. The Club averages 1,600 points as a team so far this season (No.7 in the AFL).
