The inaugural Crows Cruise will sail from Darwin to Sydney in October this year carrying some precious cargo.

Adelaide premiership players Rod Jameson and Kym Koster plus current assistant coach and former player Matthew Clarke will be aboard Royal Caribbean International’s ship Voyager of the Seas for the nine-night cruise.

Guests will fly from Adelaide to Darwin on October 20 for three nights with a tour of Litchfield National Park, a function at Crocosaurus Cove and trip to Mindil Beach markets.

Then they will board Voyager of the Seas for the cruise to Sydney with port calls in Port Douglas, Cairns, Airlie Beach and Brisbane before touring Sydney and returning to Adelaide.

Functions will include replays of the 1997 and 1998 grand finals with an expert panel giving commentary.

Other functions such as a private sail away party will include fundraisers with proceeds going to the Crows Children’s Foundation and the Childhood Cancer Association.

Star midfielder Rory Sloane is ambassador for the cruise, organised by Adelaide-based Holidays of Australia.

“This will be an incredible experience for fans, getting together to enjoy a terrific cruise holiday on a wonderful ship with people with similar interests,” Sloane said.

Host Rod Jameson is looking forward the trip with wife Jen and two of their three daughters.

“It will be a great family holiday and a wonderful chance for fans and past players to get together for a lot of laughs while enjoying the trip from Darwin around to Sydney,” he said.

Voyager of the Seas’ facilities include 10 pools and whirlpools, 14 bars and lounges, multiple dining options, indoor ‘main street’ shopping and entertainment arcade, surf simulator, rock climbing wall and ice skating rink. Fans can win a trip at promotions at every home game until July 16.
