The Adelaide Football Club and Toyota Australia have today announced an extension of their longstanding partnership until at least the end of the 2019 AFL season.

The three-year renewal of the major partnership agreement between the iconic car brand and the Crows is one of the largest in AFL history.

It also brings Toyota’s support for the Club to 29 years, making it one of the most enduring sponsorships in Australian sport.

Adelaide Crows Chairman Rob Chapman said the Club was thrilled to continue its strong association with Toyota.

“We’re extremely proud of this partnership which is now one of the most sizeable and longest standing in Australian sport,” Chapman said.

“For more than 25 years we have worked closely with Toyota to the benefit of both organisations and we’re delighted to be extending our partnership once again.

“Our gratitude goes to everyone involved with the Toyota business, especially the local dealers, as well as to our loyal Members and fans, who continue to support both organisations.”

Adelaide Crows Chief Executive Andrew Fagan said Toyota’s long-term commitment was instrumental in the Club’s success on and off the field.

"Toyota and Adelaide have much in common; we both have a winning culture and an uncompromising pursuit of excellence through passion, innovation and hard work," Fagan said.

"We are also proud that we have accompanied Toyota on its rise to become the dominant automotive company in SA as well as nationally.”

Toyota Australia’s divisional manager marketing Brad Cramb said both the company and the Club had benefited from a consistent, long-term relationship.

“Toyota has backed Adelaide since the Club played its first AFL season in 1991 – the same year Toyota first became the nation’s best-selling automotive brand,” Cramb said.

“That means today’s players have grown up with the Toyota sponsorship in place – in fact, more than half the current senior list wasn’t even born when our relationship began.

“We look forward to the Crows finishing strongly in the top eight again this year – and, once the Toyota AFL finals series begins, anything is possible.”

The partnership extension was announced at an event in Adelaide’s Elder Park which saw Crows player Brodie Smith and former premiership star Matthew Robran take part in a kicking competition across the iconic River Torrens.
