Melbourne has confirmed three changes for Sunday’s clash with Adelaide at the MCG.

Livewire Jeff Garlett, utility Matt Jones and tough nut James Harmes have been recalled to the Demons team.

The trio replaces injured defender Josh Wagner (knee), and Jack Trengove and Clayton Oliver, who have both been omitted. It will be the first match Wagner has missed since he made his AFL debut in Round Three against North Melbourne.

Garlett has been recalled after a two-game stint back in the VFL. Jones, who had 38 touches in his last start at VFL level, will play his first game since Round Four after shaking off a rib injury. James Harmes (27 touches and three goals) also returns after strong VFL form.

Midfielder Jack Viney has been named despite leaving training early on Friday with hamstring tightness. Viney is averaging a career-high 26.4 disposals per game in 2016.
