Four Crows have been selected in the initial squad for the SANFL’s 2016 Team of the Year.

Magarey Medal contender Cam Ellis-Yolmen, fellow midfielder Harrison Wigg, ruckman Reilly O’Brien and utility Jonathon Beech were all named among a squad of 40 of the SANFL’s leading players of the season.

Minor premiers Woodville-West Torrens dominated the squad with nine players included, including former Crows Jared Petrenko and Luke Thompson.

Sturt was the next-best represented club with seven players chosen. Ex-Crows duo Aidan Riley and James Battersby were among those recognised.

Six players from Central District feature, while Glenelg, South Adelaide and the SANFL Crows all had four players each.

All 10 teams had at least one representative named.
