Adelaide has placed draftee Ben Davis on its long-term injury list.

Davis, 19, has undergone surgery on his foot after a period of rest failed to heal a pre-exiting stress injury.

The speedy utility was selected by the Crows with pick No.75 at last year’s AFL National Draft.

Davis joins midfielder Cameron Ellis-Yolmen, who ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament of his right knee during a pre-season match, on the Club’s long-term injury list.

Players added to the long-term injury list are ineligible for senior selection for a minimum period of eight weeks. The Club is permitted to upgrade a rookie to the senior roster as a replacement.
