Rory Atkins’ new look sparked plenty of discussion over the weekend, but he’s not the first Crow to sport a ‘unique’ hair style on the field.

Wayne Weidemann’s flowing long locks helped him become one of the most popular players at the Club in the early ‘90s.

Crows Hall of Famer Mark Ricciuto didn’t mind the mullet back in his early days either before becoming the Club’s first ever Brownlow Medallist.

Taylor Walker was another who went from mastering the mullet to claiming the Club captaincy. Commendably, ‘Tex’ shaved his head in 2013 to raise money for the Leukaemia Foundation.

You can't mention 'mullet' without winding out a picture of the iconic Rodney 'Rocket' Maynard.

Inaugural Crow and former Club Board member Andrew Payze also embraced the long-hair look back in the ‘90s.

Greg Anderson was difficult to miss on the footy field with his long blonde locks and trademark kicking action.

Several current Crows also have interesting hair history. Draft photos are usually a good starting point, just ask Daniel Talia.

David Mackay was part of a pack of bleached Crow blondes early in his career.

Current Physical Performance Coordinator Matthew Bode was also hard to miss in his playing days.

Riley Knight seemed a bit camera shy with this sharp new do earlier in the year.

Hugh Greenwood grew out his hair for the majority of his first season as a Crow, before passing over the ‘man bun’ mantle to Troy Menzel.

Trent Hentschel was always an easy one to spot up forward with his trademark ‘wave’ look.
