Rory Laird has returned to the AFL’s Team of the Week for the first time since Round One alongside two Crows teammates.

Laird was named in a back pocket in this week’s side for his role in Adelaide’s 76-point win over Richmond at Adelaide Oval on Sunday.

The former rookie amassed 34 disposals at an incredible 94 per cent efficiency along with five marks and an equal-game high eight rebound 50ms.

Ruckman Sam Jacobs also featured in the AFL’s Team of the Week for the second time this season.

Jacobs dominated the ruck duel in Sunday’s clash with the Tigers. The 202cm Crow had 50 hit-outs – the equal-fifth most of his career – along with a career-high possession tally of 26 disposals. The skilful big man also kicked a goal.

He was the standout ruckman of the round according to the AFL Media team.

Once again, Rory Sloane forced his way into the Team of the Week with yet another incredible performance.

The new Brownlow Medal favourite kicked three goals from his 33 possessions and laid eight tackles. The hard-nosed onballer is now the top tackler in the AFL with 58 from six games.

Amazingly, it was Sloane’s fifth straight Team of the Week appearance.

A host of Crows could consider themselves unlucky not to feature, including Taylor Walker, Matt Crouch and Daniel Talia, such was Adelaide’s even performance on the weekend.

Adelaide, Collingwood, St Kilda and the Western Bulldogs all had three players included in the Round Six Team of the Week. Two players featured from Greater Western Sydney, Carlton and West Coast while Port Adelaide, Gold Coast, North Melbourne and Melbourne had one representative each.
