Adelaide staged a thrilling comeback against North Melbourne to secure one of the Club’s most remarkable victories on this day four years ago.

Under lights at Etihad stadium in Round Nine of Season 2013, the Kangaroos looked to be home. After leading Adelaide by as much as 39 points in the second term, North Melbourne held a 30-point lead with 15 minutes remaining in the match.

The Crows still trailed by 23 points as time-on approached, but what followed was a blistering burst that had the crowd stuck on the edge of their seats.

Adelaide stormed home with five unanswered goals, snatching a last-gasp win in incredible fashion.

Jared Petrenko sealed the deal for the Crows in a fitting Indigenous Round celebration for the Club.

With 21 seconds to go, the ball was launched into the Adelaide forward 50. Petrenko doubled back towards the goalsquare and read the ball better than anyone off the back of a pack, booting the ball out of mid-air to give Adelaide the lead.

It was the final act of a thrilling Crows revival.

Sam Kerridge kicked six goals in just his seventh game, while Richard Douglas and Scott Thompson combined for 52 disposals and 10 tackles and were influential in the middle.

Crows fans will never forget the ‘Miracle at Etihad’.
