SUMMARY
Adelaide needs to return to the winner’s list this weekend against West Adelaide with just six SANFL games remaining in the minor round. On paper, the Crows will be warm favourites to account for the bottom-placed Bloods, but West Adelaide is a far more challenging opponent than its ranking suggests. The Bloods have won two of their past three games with their only loss coming at the hands of League leaders Woodville-West Torrens. The Crows must bounce back after two heavy defeats to Sturt and Port Adelaide, the latter being the Club’s heaviest SANFL loss ever. A third consecutive defeat would put the Crows in danger of missing September action.

IT'S A BIG WEEK FOR… Jonathon Beech
Time and time again Jonathon Beech continues to produce against his former SANFL club. The West Adelaide premiership player has kicked nine goals from last three games against his former side, and was against among Adelaide’s best with 23 disposals, 12 marks and two majors in the Club’s Round Six victory last time the two teams met. He’s now got a taste of what’s required at AFL level with three senior games to his name and will be targeting another big performance on Saturday to put his name back in front of selectors.
