Adelaide will play West Coast in the last game of the home and away season on Sunday, August 27.
The Crows will take on the Eagles at Domain Stadium from 2:40pm (AWST) or 4:10pm (ACST).
The clash could determine the ladder positions of both finals aspirants, and will be the final-ever match for premiership points at Subiaco ahead of the move to the new Perth Stadium.
The top eight teams will then have a weekend off before finals commence the week starting Monday, September 4.
On Tuesday afternoon, the AFL confirmed the full Round 23 fixture.
The Western Bulldogs and Hawthorn will kick off the round at Etihad Stadium on the Friday night in what could be retiring champion Luke Hodge's last game.
Adelaide will be part of a super Sunday of football, with all three games likely to have finals implications.
In the early afternoon slot, Essendon will host Fremantle at Etihad Stadium while Richmond tackles St Kilda at the MCG in what could be Nick Riewoldt's final match.
Saturday night's contest between Geelong and Greater Western Sydney at Simonds Stadium will certainly have top-four implications.
In the same timeslot, Port Adelaide might have a chance to secure the double chance when it faces Gold Coast at Adelaide Oval.
A potential wooden spoon subplot could be decided when the Brisbane Lions and North Melbourne face off at the GABBA at 2.10PM (AEST) on the Saturday. In the twilight slot, Carlton travels north to face the surging Swans.
Traditional foes Collingwood and Melbourne will meet at the MCG in the Saturday afternoon timeslot with the Demons hoping to still be in the race for top four.
A Celebration of Football week will be held after the final round.
It will include the AFL Women's State of Origin match and the announcement of the 2017 AFL All Australian team.
