Defender Daniel Talia is hoping to be fit for Sunday’s clash with West Coast at Domain Stadium.

Talia rolled his ankle in the third quarter of Adelaide’s narrow loss to the Sydney Swans on Friday night.

The All Australian full-back was assessed by medical staff, but returned to play out the game.

Crows General Manager of High Performance Matt Hass said Talia had undergone scans on the injury.

“Scans have revealed only minor damage,” Hass said.

“Luckily, we’ve got a nine-day break leading into West Coast.

“We’ll do everything we can to get him up and he’ll be a ‘test’ for this weekend.”

Swingman Andy Otten also faces a fitness test on an ankle injury.

Otten sprained his ankle at training a fortnight ago and has missed the last two games.

“It (the injury) is starting to settle now and he’s joining in modified training,” Hass said.

“He’ll be a ‘test’ for this weekend.”

In disappointing news, draftee Jordan Gallucci will miss the rest of the season with a fractured jaw.

Gallucci sustained the injury in Adelaide’s SANFL loss to Woodville-West Torrens on Sunday.

“Jordy Gallucci received a pretty heavy knock to the jaw, which fractured it in two places. It required surgery which was done yesterday,” Hass said.

“All went well, but unfortunately he’ll miss the rest of the season.”

Gallucci joins fellow first-year Elliott Himmelberg and midfielder Cam Ellis-Yolmen on the sidelines.

Himmelberg (foot) and Ellis-Yolmen (knee) are both on the long-term injury list.

Hass said Ellis-Yolmen was nearing the end of his rehabilitation from a ruptured ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) sustained in the JLT Community Series in March.

“He (Ellis-Yolmen) has done a mountain of work in the gym and out on the track,” Hass said.

“He’s very close to re-joining the main group on unrestricted training, so it’s really pleasing news for Cam.”

Defender Kyle Hartigan (hamstring) and onballer Curtly Hampton (ankle) made successful returns from injury in the SANFL last weekend.
